About Steve
Steve is a registered Occupational Therapist and seating consultant for Paralympics Australia
Steven Wilson is a hard working, innovative and motivated clinician who holds both a degree in both Occupational Therapy (Hons) and Sports Science. He has extensive experience working within wheelchair and seating for people of all ages and needs.
Steve also works with Australia’s elite athletes with Paralympics Australia on customised sports seating and equipment. His calm nature and ability to ‘think outside the square’ enables him to customise wheelchair and seating solutions to maximise an individual’s function, performance and independence.
Rather than a person having to change to fit a chair, Steve is passionate about providing mobility and seating solutions that are designed to fit the person and their needs and goals.
When he is not at work, you will find him playing cricket, bike riding or shooting hoops with his kids!

Steven is an Occupational Therapist with extensive skills and experience in providing power and manual wheelchairs, shower chairs, recreational and sporting wheelchairs. Steven will work with you to provide a seating solution to meet your needs from highly customised seating using 3D scanning and routing to off the shelf options from various suppliers. Steven can also support with seating options for at work or for travel on a plane or in your car.
Steven can also work with you on alternative control systems for powerchairs as well as custom modifications to seating and mobility devices.
Steven can also work with you to provide power assist devices to add to your manual wheelchair.
Being independent (not employed by an equipment supplier or manufacture), Steven can help source any wheelchair or seating option from across all suppliers. Steven has extensive knowledge and experience of what wheelchair and seating types are available and how the chair and seating option features might best suit the individual needs required.
Yes. As part of the wheelchair and or seating process Steven can help select the best option with you and complete all the required reports and justification required for NDIS. Steven can submit and source the required quotes and send everything to NDIS for you.
For NDIS participants the NDIS specified therapy rate is used. A service agreement will be developed with you that outlines what services will be provided and how they are charged to NDIS. For non NDIS clients please contact Steven Wilson Seating.
